Holy Week Worship Schedule
Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 7pm
Maundy Thursday worship embodies the night before Jesus was betrayed and the new commandment he gave in John 13:34 to “love one another.” The service includes optional foot or hand washing as an expression of servant hearts, Communion in remembrance of the Last Supper, and closes with the “stripping of the church” with the removal of candles, banners, and paraments to signify the desolate time ahead. Childcare is available for ages 4 and under.
Good Friday Tenebrae - April 3 at 7pm
The deeply-moving Tenebrae service takes its name from the Latin word for “shadows” or “darkness.” Beginning with candles lit on the altar, music and scripture readings from John 18–19 walk step-by-step with Jesus as he carries his cross. As each passage is read, a candle is extinguished, drawing us deeper into darkness. All depart in silence, waiting for the coming hope of the resurrection. Childcare is available for 2nd grade and under.
Easter Sunday Worship - April 5
- 6:45am – Easter Sunrise service, beginning outdoors at the fountain and then moving indoors. We're excited this year to offer a full Easter worship service at 6:45am including the same sermon offered at the later services, a Sunrise Choir, bells, and organ. Includes Holy Communion.
- 9:00am - Online - The Venue worship livestream is crafted for our online worshipping community. Enjoy your coffee at home while a live host enjoys coffee in the studio while worshipping together through song, prayer, message, reflection, and an interactive comment section on Facebook.
- 9:00am - In-person Contemporary worship * featuring our praise team. Includes Holy Communion. Identical in content to 10am service.
- 10:00am - In-person and livestream Contemporary worship * featuring our praise team. Includes Holy Communion. Identical in content to 9am service.
- 11:15am - In-person and livestream Traditional worship * featuring our traditional choir, brass ensemble, organ, and handbells. Includes Holy Communion.
* Children are welcome to attend worship with their family or participate in nursery care and children’s Sunday School (offered for children age birth through 5th grade).
Weather permitting, we'll have fun for all ages on the front lawn throughout the morning including coffee, donuts, and lawn games.
