Your help is needed as we prepare to care for the families participating in Family Promise the week of April 27 – May 1, 2026. FVUMC will help with serving 2-4 families during that week.
Family Promise of the Triangle is an organization working to move families at risk of or experiencing homelessness into sustainable, permanent housing in our community through a continuum of support services. One aspect of their care for families is by offering emergency shelter and meals. Since the pandemic, Family Promise has modified their operations so that families are no longer rotating church-to-church each week.
Since the families are no longer rotating to area churches, the need is to prepare a home-cooked meals or have supper delivered to the family one night during our “host” week. In agreeing to do this, you will be helping us fulfill our mission to serve our neighbors. Home-cooked meals are preferred, but meals can also be ordered from a restaurant.
All meals must be delivered to the Family Promise Day Center in Raleigh by 5 pm on the day for which you sign up. Please reach out to Arlette Lambert, FVUMC’s Family Promise Coordinator, if you have any questions. Her email is we*****@*****il.com and her phone number is 919.508.7381.
