🎥 Submit Your Graduation Video

We will celebrate all of our graduates both in the live worship service and online by playing a video with each of you dancing to the tune "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake. It is a fun way to show all your excitement for finishing such a huge milestone of your lives, and for the next phase of your journey.

We need these videos sent to us by Sunday, May 24. Click here to see an example video from a prior year.

The idea is that each graduate will start their video by catching their cap thrown to them from off screen, putting their cap on and dancing for a short time to the song, and then tossing their cap off screen. This will create the effect that all of the graduates are passing their graduation caps to one another!

Please follow these instructions:

  • Make sure to record your video in landscape (horizontally), if you are using your phone.
  • Dress up in your graduation cap and gown! You are welcome to display your "bling" (awards, stoles, cords, badges).
  • Use a second phone or speaker to play the song "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake while you record so your dance can be in sync with the music.
  • At the beginning of your video, catch your cap from YOUR LEFT. End the video by tossing it to YOUR RIGHT. It will be helpful to have a couple helpers standing off screen to toss you the cap, and to catch it at the end.
  • Don't worry about background noise or any sound in your video. We will remove all the audio and overlay it with the song!
  • If you aren't a natural dancer, try finding a funny, simple dance move you can imitate (e.g. the robot, sprinkler, renegade..)!
  • The total length of your clip should be between 5 – 10 seconds. We want it to be long enough for your graduation information to show! And don't worry about editing out the beginning and end of your videos, we will take care of that.
  • Please name your video using the graduate's firstname_lastname
