Core 4: Living Missionally

Sundays from 4:30-6 pm, Mar. 8-Apr. 26 (6 weeks, excluding Palm Sunday Mar. 29 and Easter Sunday Apr. 5)

Book Club

Monthly, usually on 3rd Fridays at 6:30 pm, with Facilitators Matilda Storm, Suzanne Jones, and Judy Casper

Club Sandwich

Meeting time and location varies, with Facilitators Nicki Knowles and Paige Highfill

Prayer Team

Wednesdays from 7-8 pm, Alternates between In-Person and Video

Paint and Praise

Periodically on Sunday afternoons from 1-3 pm with Facilitator Zinnia Thole

The Lightseekers Group

Wednesday Evenings from 6:30pm to 8pm in the Chapel with Facilitator Christine Carmichael

Completed Groups

Some of our Adult Groups have already completed their sessions and are not currently meeting. These “Completed Groups” represent offerings from the past, but we invite you to explore them to get a sense of the kinds of experiences and studies we offer at Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church. If a particular group catches your eye, let us know! We’d love to hear your interest in case we offer that group again in the future.

Called to Journey, Called to Welcome, A Biblical Perspective on Immigration

This study will equip participants to engage, connect and discuss immigration from a Biblical perspective. We will consider our call to Christ-like hospitality, practice listening to one another, and brainstorm what it might look like to serve without reservation. All are welcome. Led by Pastor Melanie Sebastian Stafford, the group will meet weekly on Sundays from 1:30-2:45 pm, Oct. 12-Nov. 16 (6 weeks).        Find Out More     Sign Up Here!

Some of our Adult Groups are currently full and not accepting new members at this time. However, we still encourage you to browse these groups to see the variety of opportunities available at Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church. If a particular group sparks your interest, please let us know! We’d be happy to keep your name on file in case an opening becomes available, or even consider launching a new group based on similar interests in the future.

Core 2: Gifted to Serve (Spring 2025)

Core 2 is all about identifying the gifts and passions God has given you and exploring how to use them in all the places where you live, work, and play. Weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 pm  In the Centrum  January 8 – February 12 (6 weeks)  Led by Joy Goforth & Tinnie Salzano Find Out More

Core 1: Everyday Discipleship (Spring 2025)

Core 1 is all about what it means to be a disciple, a lifelong imitator of Jesus. Explore the meaning of everyday discipleship: how to listen for God in daily life, how to respond to what God is saying, and how to teach others to do the same. Weekly on Sundays from 4:30-6 pm  Meets in classrooms on the Adult Wing  February 2 – April 6 (10 weeks)  Each week, everyone in Core 1 gathers together for a large-group teaching time led by Anna Coats, Izac Silagy and other leaders. This is followed by discussion in a consistent small group led by a facilitator. Find Out More
