Through FVUMC's summer sermon series, "The Sounds of Justice," our congregation is engaging with the book of Amos, but there is so much more to learn from Amos than what can be covered in our message time!
To encourage the congregation to dig deeply into this rich text, you are invited to participate in a talk that will enable you to gain a sense of the whole book, grapple with its theology of judgment, and understand why engaging with the Old Testament is important for Christians today.
This free talk will be given by Rev. Dr. Brent Strawn who is the D. Moody Smith Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Duke Divinity School.
We look forward to learning with you on Sunday, July 12 from 4:30-6pm.
