Youth Mission Journey 2026
Go. Serve. Love.
Western North Carolina
About the Journey
The FVUMC Youth Group will travel to Western North Carolina from July 20-26, 2026 for a mission journey. Our team’s work will include serving alongside local families and organizations to recover from Hurricane Helene while also connecting with them and each other in ways that only a week set apart with each other can do.
We will be serving through Cross Connection, a nonprofit statewide ministry that offers a Summer Access Experience. To learn more about our partner organization, Cross Connection, you can check them out on Facebook and Instagram.
Our Team in Action
Last summer, we took a team of 50 youth and adults who served through the Cross Connection organization, supporting hurricane rebuild and access systems for those with mobility challenges in a four-county area near Morganton.

Supporting the Journey
Support our Fuquay-Varina UMC Youth Mission Journey as we prepare to Go, Serve, and Love in Western North Carolina.
Our youth are headed to Western NC this summer to engage in meaningful work with the people there and to experience God in ways that traveling and working together can foster. We will build relationships with families and local organizations as we also build community within our team and foster hearts for serving others.
We appreciate any and all ways you plan to support us and our shared work on this journey.
Prayers
Please pray for us! We hope you will pray for our team now while we are preparing, while we are in Western NC, and after we travel home to share our experiences with you.
Donations
Financial contributions for the Mission Journey are always welcome. You can support the journey by making a tax-deductible donation securely online. You can identify a particular team member you’d like to support or allow your contribution to support the whole team.
Thank you for supporting our youth for this meaningful opportunity!
