The truth is: I am new here and I’m not sure what to say when it comes to my favorite thing. The first thing that comes to mind is Kairos. 

Kairos meaning: ‘at the right time’ or even ‘in God’s time’. The Core 1 curriculum introduced me to this new term, and helped me see that certain moments were mapping out a trend in my life. Sitting here now, looking back short term, I can see the points line up. I can see how things were happening in God's kairos time, rather than my limited chronos time. But if I stand up and I look back further, I can see an even greater pattern. I can see different moments and circumstances that helped get me here. That feels really dramatic to write. It probably is more than a little dramatic, but it also feels right. 

So, for now, that’s my favorite part of this position. Maybe, in small ways or in hard ways or in everyday ways, God was preparing me to be here at this time to fulfill this role. I’m certainly no Esther (and hopefully no one needs me to be), but I do love a good quote: “And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14b
