Columbarium and Prayer Garden
FVUMC’s Columbarium and Prayer Garden offers niches designed to serve as the final resting place for up to 2 urns containing cremated remains. The niches measure 11.5” cubed and have a personalized, engraved granite front with a designated space for a military medallion, when applicable.
The niches are located within brick encasements and are surrounded by granite benches and landscaping.
FVUMC members and pastors may purchase niches for self, spouses, children, parents, and grandchildren. Niche reservations are $3,500 (increasing to $4,000 on May 1, 2025) which includes opening/closing of the niche and engraving. Individuals make their niche location selection based on availability at time of payment. Cremation costs and purchase of the urn are not included.
In addition to the niches, our Columbarium & Prayer Garden also offers Memorial Walls for remembering the names of loved ones who may be inurned or interred elsewhere. Memorial plaques are $500 and include the cost of on-site engraving.
With oversight by FVUMC Trustees and the Columbarium Committee, perpetual care is ensured in this financially self-sustaining memorial garden area.
