Social Principles of The UMC Study

Social Principles of The UMC Study

Meeting Details:

Sundays from 1:30-2:45pm, beginning July 26

Information About the Group:

This 6-week study will explore the Social Principles of The United Methodist Church—the church’s effort to address contemporary issues it faces today. Participants will engage key areas of the Social Principles, including the Natural World, Social Community, Economic Community, and Political Community. They will examine how the Social Principles relate to the Bible, their roots in the Wesleyan tradition, and their connection to the lived practice of ministry for individuals and local churches. This is a natural next-step out of our summer sermon series, Sounds of Justice.
