Your help is needed as we prepare to host the families of Family Promise the week of March 16-22, 2025. FVUMC will help with serving 2-4 families during that week.
Since the families are no longer rotating around to the church, the need is to prepare a homecooked meal or have supper delivered to the family 1 night during the week. In agreeing to do this, you will be helping us fulfill our mission to be a Christ-centered community that shares God with these families in need!
Instead, for our next Family Promise “host” week from Mar. 17-21, can you provide a meal for 1-2 families? Home-cooked meals are preferred, but meals can also be ordered from a restaurant. All meals must be delivered to the Family Promise Day Center in Raleigh by 5 pm on the day for which you sign up. Please reach out to Arlette Lambert, FVUMC’s Family Promise Coordinator, if you have any questions. Her email is we*****@*****il.com and her phone number is 919.508.7381.
Family Promise is an organization working to move families at risk of or experiencing homelessness into sustainable, permanent housing in our community through a continuum of support services. One aspect of their care for families is by offering emergency shelter and meals. Since the pandemic, Family Promise has modified their operations so that families are no longer rotating church-to-church each week.
Meals will be delivered to the Family Promise main location in Raleigh. Click the signup for details.
