It’s that time of year again: the Fair Trade store is back!
What does Fair Trade really mean? Fair Trade is a system that aims to lift artisans and their families out of poverty by paying them a fair wage for their crafts. Fairly traded goods range from coffee to handmade jewelry and are each grown and crafted by underprivileged farmers and artisans around the world. But buying a Fair Trade item means more than just that. Each time you purchase a fairly traded good, you are furthering a just and compassionate system and extending your support to brothers and sisters in need.
You have the chance to participate by stopping by FVUMC’s Fair Trade Store! In addition to supporting impoverished global artisans, ten percent of proceeds will go directly to the North Carolina Interfaith Food shuttle.
Located near the church office in rooms 117 and 119, the store will be open on the dates shown below.
